Power Partners, Inc., manufactures and markets energy-efficient, environmentally friendly ECO-MAX adsorption chillers that utilize waste heat to provide cooling and other process capabilities.
Power Partners also offers trigeneration packages that combine cogeneration with our ECO-MAX adsorption chillers. The packages enable simultaneous production of power, heat and cooling from a single heat source and result in overall system efficiency, as well as savings in capital and energy costs.
Adsorption chiller technology is attractive to retail stores, hospitals, universities, office complexes, data centers, trigeneration facilities, processing plants, manufacturing plants and government facilities because it saves energy by using waste heat to solve their air conditioning and other process requirements.
Using water -- the greenest refrigerant there is -- ECO-MAX adsorption chillers are more reliable than absorption chillers because they do not contain lithium bromide as absorption chillers do. With ECO-MAX adsorption chillers, there are no crystallization problems, no corrosion, no chemical testing and no hazardous leaks. Water is adsorbed onto a bed of silica gel and regenerated under low pressure to produce chilled water.
ECO-MAX adsorption chillers need no compressors, no high pressure refrigerants and no oil changes, and they create virtually no noise or vibration. Ultra-low electricity usage means low operating costs and exceptionally low carbon emissions. For 50 years, Power Partners' facility in Athens, GA, has been a leading manufacturer of overhead distribution transformers for the electric power industry. More recently, we have expanded into production of ECO-MAX adsorption chillers and solar water heating systems, enabling new customers to benefit from our short manufacturing cycles and innovative designs. Power Partners is one of seven winners of the SJF Institute's 2011 Green Jobs Award, which honors private businesses that contribute to both the economy and the environment. Power Partners also received the Excellence in Sustainability award at the 2011 Manufacturing Innovations Conference, a national event sponsored by the National Institute of Standards' Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP).
